Think you and your dog might like to try agility? Gain confidence walking your dog on narrow boards or balancing on the wobble board in preparation for Agility 1 and beyond. You'll work on leash management around obstacles, play games, run hoop jumps and more. We do not introduce full size contacts or jumps in this class as they require higher level of agility skills and to avoid injuries. Explore agility and reduce fear and anxiety as you and your dog become comfortable with the basics of agility and moving over boards, run through tunnels and learn how to work as a team. |
Start your puppy out right in agility. Play with your puppy, exposing your dog to unusual objects, things that move underneath them and loud noises - all part of conditioning for agility and reducing fear. You'll play games, walk the plank, work on balance, run the tunnel and much more in this three week class. Because this is for puppies whose bodies have not finished developing we do not use the contact obstacles or jumps in order to avoid injuries. There will be free play in every class.

You and your dog learn the agility obstacle equipment, agility ring etiquette and safety in the ring. Starting with jumps, you train as a team to gain confidence in moving over, up or through an obstacle. You learn jumps, weave poles, dog walk, A-frame, tunnel, pause table and hoops. You will also learn to work with your dog moving around the ring together, as a team. |
In this class you will review what you have already learned while adding new obstacles and handling skills to your knowledge. You learn more jumps, teeter and chute. You add to your handling skills by learning body language and leading your dog through the course with your hands. A course will be set up at the end of the class to incorporate the training into a course. |

Agility Level 3 brings you and your dog to a higher level of teamwork. You focus on advanced handling techniques like crosses and traps and you develop proficiency in all the obstacles you already know. Of course there will be courses to run each week as well to apply all you have learned in agility so far.
|
Now that your dog is confident and safe on all the obstacles and you are working together as a team the fun is just beginning. No reason to stop doing agility just because you don’t want to compete. Agility for Fun is a way for you to continue having fun in agility and continue learning new things. The first 30 minutes focuses on your skills as a dog and handler team. The last 30 minutes is course running practice, incorporating the handling skill learned in the first part of the class into the course. |

Now that you know all the obstacles, you would like to take agility to the next level and compete with your dog in agility trials. There always seems to be more you could work on or learn. This class focuses on more complex handling techniques that might be required for competition, along with rules and ring etiquette. |
Agility Run Club combines open practice time and course practice runs. The first 30 minutes is open practice for you and your dog – you can warm up, work on specific obstacles or skills that you want to perfect as a team. The last 30 minutes is course running practice
